BJP's Surge in Rajasthan Elections Sparks Speculation of a New 'Yogi' Rising to Power
In a surprising twist, spiritual leader and Alwar MP Baba Balaknath emerges as a prominent BJP contender for the Chief Minister post in Rajasthan as the party gains momentum in the state elections. Balaknath, often referred to as the ‘yogi of Rajasthan,’ is leading from the Tijara constituency, displaying a substantial margin against Congress’ Imran Khan.
While the BJP is yet to officially announce a Chief Ministerial candidate, Balaknath, if elected, would follow in the footsteps of Yogi Adityanath in securing the top position. Adityanath actively campaigned for Balaknath, expressing confidence in his ability to transform Tijara into a shining star.

Speaking about the possibility of becoming the Chief Minister, Balaknath stated, “Our Prime Minister is the face of the BJP, and we will continue to work under his leadership. The decision on the Chief Minister will also be taken by the party.” Despite the political spotlight, Balaknath emphasized his satisfaction as an MP and his commitment to serving society.
The 40-year-old spiritual leader, hailing from the Nath sect like Yogi Adityanath, reinforced his electoral battle against Imran Khan, likening it to an “India-Pakistan” match. A viral video captured him stating, “It is not just a fight for victory, it is also a fight for voting percentage.”
