BJP MP Kangana Ranaut Praises PM Modi In Lok Sabha Debate On Women’s Reservation Bill

Kangana Ranaut commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a Lok Sabha debate, describing him as a foremost advocate of women’s empowerment and a driving force behind gender equality in India.

Speaking on the Constitution (131st Amendment) Bill, 2026, the BJP MP from Mandi stated that women across the nation regard his leadership as transformative and empowering. She asserted that many believe no leader has championed feminism more strongly, adding that women remain deeply appreciative of his commitment.

Kangana Ranaut emphasised that his consistent confidence in women’s abilities has strengthened their participation and self-assurance across sectors.

Ranaut strongly endorsed the proposed legislation, calling it a progressive measure to enhance women’s representation in legislative institutions.

The Bill proposes expanding the Lok Sabha beyond its current 543 seats and reserving one-third of seats for women.

Kangana Ranaut argued that these steps would significantly improve inclusivity and participation in governance.

Kangana also supported linking the legislation with the delimitation exercise, describing it as constitutionally essential. She stated that revising electoral boundaries would ensure fair representation aligned with demographic changes and evolving population patterns.

Ranaut urged lawmakers to support the reforms, stressing that the delimitation process remains crucial for equitable governance. She highlighted that the measures would create broader opportunities for women in Parliament and state assemblies.

Kangana Ranaut’s remarks reflected strong backing for policies that deepen women’s role in decision-making and governance structures.

The debate continued to focus on structural reforms aimed at strengthening democratic participation and representation across the country.
