The Union Home Ministry has made a shocking disclosure about the number of illegal immigrants living in India. The BJP MLA Rajeshwar Singh from Sarojininagar Assembly of Lucknow shared a post on X, revealing that, according to the Home Ministry’s report, there are currently around 2 crore illegal immigrants in India, most of whom have come from Bangladesh.
The MLA highlighted an even more startling claim from a paper published by NS Jamwala in 2004. The paper indicated that out of the immigrants caught in the country, four had entered India illegally. This suggests that the actual number of illegal immigrants could be anywhere between 8 to 10 crores.
