Mahesh Baghel, the former BJP president of Agra district, experienced an astonishing revival on Monday, just as his family was preparing for his funeral. This miraculous event unfolded hours after doctors at a private hospital in the city had officially declared him dead due to organ failure.
Baghel’s health had taken a serious downturn on Sunday night, prompting his family to urgently transport him to Pushpanjali Hospital for medical care. Following initial examinations, doctors at the hospital confirmed his passing. Consequently, on Monday, his family transported his body back to their residence in the Sarai Khwaja area to make arrangements for his last rites. It was during this time that some family members noticed unexpected “movement” in Baghel’s body.

According to accounts from Baghel’s sons, Abhishek and Ankit, their father regained consciousness after arriving home, astonishing everyone by opening his eyes. Baghel’s brother, Lakhan Singh, expressed amazement at the turn of events, sharing that signs of life emerged approximately 30 minutes after doctors had declared him dead. This unexpected revival led to Baghel being swiftly transported to another private hospital in New Agra, where he is currently undergoing medical treatment.
Doctors at the new hospital have identified an infection in his chest and are actively investigating his condition. As of the time this report was being filed, Baghel’s treatment was ongoing, and his medical status was being closely monitored.
