The BJP has launched a scathing attack on the Indi alliance and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha, denouncing the upcoming April 21 rally as a gathering to promote corruption rather than an Ulgulan rally.
State spokesperson Pratul Shah Dev criticized the rally, stating that it would feature corrupt individuals, anti-Sanatan elements, members of the divisive “Tukde Tukde” gang, and dynastic figures sharing the same platform. Dev emphasized that labelling the event as Ulgulan, a term associated with the historic resistance against British oppression and deeply rooted in tribal identity, was an affront to the martyrs of Jharkhand, including Lord Birsa Munda.
Furthermore, Dev highlighted the grievances of Sita Soren, the elder daughter-in-law of the Soren family, who has expressed discontent over her treatment within the family. She has alleged neglect and demanded a thorough investigation into the mysterious death of her activist husband, Durga Soren, which she believes to be a conspiracy. However, her concerns have been sidelined by the government, prompting questions about Jharkhand Mukti Morcha’s silence on her plight.

Dev also criticized Jharkhand Mukti Morcha’s failure to address Lobin Hembram’s resolution against corruption and the implementation of the local policy of 1932. He accused JMM leaders of targeting Hembram instead of addressing the issues he raised.
Regarding the opposition alliance, Dev remarked on its apparent disarray in Jharkhand, citing instances of internal conflicts and rebel candidates contesting in various constituencies.
In summary, Dev painted a picture of discord within the opposition camp, highlighting the fractured state of affairs leading up to the April 21 rally, where leaders from the Congress party are also expected to participate.
