Bittu Bajrangi, a Cow Vigilante Detained In Connection With The Nuh Violence In Haryana

Bittu Bajrangi, a cow vigilante, was detained on Tuesday in connection with racial clashes that broke out in Haryana’s Nuh district on July 31, according to police. According to them,

Bajrangi alias Rajkumar was questioned in relation to a new FIR that was filed against him at the Nuh’s Sadar police station after Assistant Superintendent of Police Usha Kundu made a complaint.

According to the police, the Crime Investigation Agency team of Tauru initially detained Bajrangi, the leader of a group known as the Goraksha Bajrang Force, to question him.
Bittu Bajrangi was detained following the interrogation, according to a Nuh Police spokeswoman, and will be presented in court on Wednesday.

FIR’s filed under Arms Act

According to police, the Indian Penal Code sections 148 (riots), 149 (unlawful assembly), 323 (causing harm), 353, 186 (obstructing a public worker from performing their duties), 395, 397 (armed robbery), and 506 (criminal intimidation) were used to file the FIR against Bajrangi. They were also used to file the FIR under the terms of the Arms Act.

According to a top police officer, Bajrangi and his comrades were armed when the VHP parade was attacked in Muslim-majority Nuh on July 31.
Bajrangi and his companions were brandishing guns during the ensuing brawl, and ASP Kundu took the weapons away, but they stole them from a police car, the official claimed, adding that they also allegedly threatened the officers.

Bajrangi has already been charged with making incendiary posts on social media.
The recent skirmishes that started in Nuh over an attempt to halt a Vishva Hindu Parishad march and expanded to Gurugram claimed the lives of six persons, including two home guards and a cleric.

Haryana conflicts

Communal unrest broke out in Nuh on July 31 (Monday) after a crowd attempted to block the VHP’s “Brij Mandal Jalabhishek Yatra.” Over the past few days, the violence has spread to the nearby city of Gurugram, with automobiles being attacked with stones and set ablaze.

In Gurugram, restaurants were set on fire, stores were vandalised, and mobs murdered a Muslim cleric. The violence claimed the lives of six persons.
There have also been reports of arson incidents in Palwal, Manesar, Faridabad, and Rewari.

Due to the current circumstances, prohibition orders were issued and internet service was suspended in the impacted districts.
116 people were detained and 90 were arrested in connection with the incident, according to the Haryana government.
