Leader of Opposition in the Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, launched a fierce critique of the Nitish Kumar government on Saturday, condemning the frequent bridge collapses.
In a scathing post on X, Tejashwi mocked both the state and Central governments.
He stated, “Congratulations! Due to the double power of the double-engine government in Bihar, only 5 bridges have collapsed in just 9 days.”
The Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader sarcastically noted, “Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the double-engine NDA government comprising 6 parties, has sent bright wishes of Mangalraj to the people of the state on the collapse of the 5 bridges in 9 days.”
Tejashwi Yadav further criticized the authorities, pointing out that bridge collapses are causing the loss of thousands of crores of public money. He criticized the self-proclaimed honest officials for dismissing these incidents as courtesy rather than acknowledging them as corruption.
A girder of an under-construction road bridge collapsed in the Madhubani district on Friday.
