Sambar with Masala Dosa is a match made in heaven. When you separate such a match, then you have to pay for it. This Bihar restaurant actually paid for separating the two. Recently, in Bihar, a lawyer ordered Special Masala Dosa from a restaurant which cost him Rs. 140. When the package arrived, it was missing out on sambar. When he went on to complaint about the same from the restaurant, they reacted in a highly inappropriate manner.
The man who ordered the Special Masala Dosa was Manish Pathak. When the lawyer complaint about the missing sambar, the owner reacted in a very rude way. He asked Manish if he would buy the entire shop for Rs. 140. Furious because of the act of the restaurant owner, Manish went on to send legal notice to the restaurant. But the owner ignored the notice. Now, the fury rose and the man now finally dragged the restaurant owner into the court. The lawyer filed case in the District Consumer Court.

The trial of the case went on for a time period of 11 months. Now, the court finally pronounced its verdict that found the restaurant guilty and the court even imposed a fine of Rs. 3500. The court said the eatery caused “mental, physical and financial hardship to the consumer”.
The establishment was given 45 days to pay the fine. According to the court, 8% interest will also need to be paid separately if the payment isn’t made on time.
Pathak expressed his happiness with the court’s decision and emphasised the significance of protecting consumer rights and making sure companies fulfil their service commitments. The sambar cost the restaurant a hefty amount in terms of reputation and effort.
