The question-answer session was completely disrupted due to the chaos created by BJP members in the Assembly. During this time, BJP legislator Sanjay Singh was marshalled out. BJP legislators also staged a strong protest in the Legislative Council.
Today is the final day of the Monsoon Session of the Bihar Legislative Assembly. As soon as the Assembly proceedings began at 11 am, BJP members started their protest. BJP legislators in Patna started raising slogans against the police baton charge that took place on Thursday. Opposition leader Vijay Sinha stated that a BJP leader lost his life due to the baton charge, emphasizing that it was not a death but a murder. When the Speaker Avadhesh Narayan Singh denied the opposition a chance to speak, BJP members gathered at the well and created a ruckus. Despite the Speaker’s repeated appeals for maintaining peace, the BJP legislator took away the reporter’s chair. Meanwhile, BJP legislator Sanjay Singh climbed onto the table, after which the Speaker ordered his marshalling out. Due to the continued chaos, the Speaker adjourned the House proceedings until 2 pm.
In the Legislative Council, there was a heated exchange between the ruling party and opposition members. As soon as the proceedings began, BJP members started registering their protest against the police baton charge. BJP legislators staged a protest outside wearing black bands. Several BJP legislators entered restricted areas. Subsequently, the House proceedings were adjourned until 2 pm.
After being marshalled out, legislator Sanjay Singh spoke to reporters and said that it was not a marshalling out; he was injured.
