The newly expanded Bihar Cabinet saw major portfolio changes on Thursday, with the NDA leadership unveiling a fresh ministerial lineup shortly after a large swearing-in ceremony at Gandhi Maidan in Patna.

Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary retained control of several influential departments. These include Home, General Administration, Cabinet Secretariat, Vigilance, Election and Civil Aviation.
The Agriculture Department went to former Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, while Ram Kripal Yadav shifted to Cooperation.
Nitish Mishra received Urban Development and Housing, along with Information Technology.
Other prominent allocations included Dilip Kumar Jaiswal taking charge of Revenue and Land Reforms, Engineer Shailendra heading Road Construction and Bullo Mandal handling the Energy Department.
Senior JD(U) leader Vijay Kumar Choudhary was assigned Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs, whereas Bijendra Prasad Yadav retained a key economic role with Finance and Commercial Taxes.
Shravan Kumar took charge of Rural Development and Information & Public Relations, while Leshi Singh became the minister for Building Construction.
The Ministry expansion brought 32 leaders into the Cabinet. The move also reflected the NDA’s effort to balance alliance representation ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections.
The BJP secured 15 berths in the Ministry, while JD(U) received 13 positions. Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) was allotted 2 ministerial posts, while Hindustani Awam Morcha and Rashtriya Lok Morcha received 1 each.
