Bihar CM Samrat Choudhary Takes Charge; Issues Directives

Soon after taking the oath, Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary moved swiftly to take charge of the administration, signalling a clear intent to adopt a results-driven and proactive approach from the very beginning of his tenure.

Without delay, he proceeded to the Secretariat, formally assumed charge of the Chief Minister’s Office, and convened a high-level meeting with senior officials, including top bureaucrats, to assess the state of governance and review pending development projects across departments.

During the meeting, the Chief Minister issued firm directions, prioritised swift grievance redressal, and warned officials against delays. He instructed them to meet deadlines strictly and made it clear that he would not tolerate negligence in implementing government schemes.

Highlighting critical sectors such as roads, healthcare, education, and law and order, Choudhary called for immediate and sustained attention to ensure visible improvements on the ground. He stressed that governance must be efficient, responsive, and people-centric.

Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary emphasised transparency and accountability and directed officials to streamline processes so citizens avoid repeated visits for basic services. He also advocated for strengthening grievance redressal mechanisms and increasing the use of digital governance tools to enhance service delivery.

The Chief Minister further sought detailed progress reports on ongoing initiatives and made it clear that accountability would be fixed in cases of delay. At the same time, he encouraged departments to fast-track new proposals to accelerate development in Bihar.

His immediate engagement reflects an administration in active mode from day one, with expectations high as these directives begin to take effect on the ground.
