On the occasion of Makar Sankranti, BIHAAN – For the Rising Bharat, announced a major global ‘Brain Gain’ initiative aimed at advancing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.
The initiative seeks to transform India’s long-standing brain drain into strategic brain gain by connecting Indians living abroad with the nation’s development journey.
Addressing the Makar Sankranti Milan programme held at the Dr Ambedkar International Centre, BIHAAN Chairperson Laxmi Kumari said the organisation has so far brought together Non-Resident Indians and Persons of Indian Origin from 53 countries on a common platform.
She noted that BIHAAN is working steadily through structured participation, collaboration and sustained efforts to translate the vision of ‘Sankalp se Siddhi’ into reality.
BIHAAN Co-Chairperson Prashant Kumar said the organisation is strengthening the spirit of nation-building by bringing together individuals from diverse ideologies and professional backgrounds, transcending barriers of caste, creed, language and region.
He added that since 2014, a renewed sense of responsibility has emerged among Indians in India and abroad to actively contribute to the country’s growth and progress.
The programme also featured addresses by Nitya Pathak, Ashwini Choubey, BJP national spokesperson Tuhin Sinha, BJP organisation general secretary BL Santosh, and BIHAAN secretary Sanjay Sinha, all of whom expressed strong support for the vision of a developed India.
The successful organisation of the event was marked by congratulatory messages from former Union minister Upendra Kushwaha.
The event concluded with cultural performances and witnessed the presence of several dignitaries and representatives of global Indian organisations.
BIHAAN called upon Indians across the world to actively participate during the Amrit Kaal in building a strong, inclusive and developed India by 2047.
