Bharat Express News Network CMD, Upendrra Rai, has been invited as the chief guest for the annual function of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Shekhawati University. The event will feature a seminar and cultural programme on March 29, 2026, based on the theme ‘Self-Reliant Shekhawati’.
The Vice-Chancellor, Anil Kumar Rai, shared this information in an official communication. He stated that the initiative aims to promote regional development and encourage self-reliance among young people.
Anil Kumar Rai further explained that the seminar will focus on preparing a roadmap for youth self-sufficiency. It will also work on identifying practical strategies for effective implementation.
According to the university administration, nearly 575 colleges across the Sikar and Jhunjhunu districts of the Shekhawati region are affiliated with the institution. These colleges form a significant part of the university’s academic network.
Around 3,50,000 students are currently receiving education and training in line with the National Education Policy 2020.
The university also runs postgraduate programmes in various disciplines under a semester-based framework.
The programme will also feature discussions on the contribution of the Shekhawati region towards achieving the vision of ‘Developed India 2047’.
Prominent industrialists, philanthropists, public representatives, and intellectuals from across the country are expected to participate.
An exhibition showcasing startups, innovation, handicrafts, and emerging industries from the region will also be organised.
The university will hold its sixth convocation ceremony on March 28, 2026, under the chairmanship of Haribhau Bagde.
A cultural programme has also been planned for the same evening.
The university administration has requested CMD Upendrra Rai to attend the event on March 29 at 2 PM and grace the occasion as the chief guest.
The initiative reflects the university’s continued efforts to promote education, innovation, and self-reliance. It also contributes to broader regional and national development goals.
