The revered Khatu Shyam Temple in Sikar district witnessed a spiritual and star-studded moment on Saturday, as Bharat Express Chairman and Managing Director Upendrra Rai, along with renowned poet and speaker Dr Kumar Vishwas, paid their respects at the sacred shrine.
The lanes of Khatu Dham echoed with chants of ‘Khatu Shyam Ki Jai’ and ‘Shyam Baba Ki Jai’ as the two personalities arrived. Both guests chose to walk like regular devotees through the bustling streets leading to the temple.
The temple management welcomed them with a traditional tilak and flower garland. Devotees and locals captured the moment on their mobile phones, thrilled by the unexpected arrival of two respected figures.
Tight security ensured a smooth experience for everyone.
Upon reaching the temple premises, the sound of conch shells and temple bells intensified. As Bharate Express CMD and Kumar Vishwas bowed before Baba Shyam, the already devotional mood turned even more spiritual.
The Khatu Shyam Temple is a major centre of faith in India. Devotees believe that sincere prayers offered here are always fulfilled. This belief attracts not only the common man but also industrialists, leaders, and artists throughout the year.
Saturday also marked the start of a new helicopter service connecting Delhi to Khatu Shyamji and Salasar Balaji. This service allows devotees to complete a round-trip pilgrimage in a single day.
In the inaugural flight, CMD Upendrra Rai and Dr Kumar Vishwas arrived with their families. Their helicopter landed at Jalund Helipad, situated 9 km from the temple. From there, they proceeded for darshan.
The fare for this luxury service is set at ₹95,000 per passenger. It includes VIP darshan, premium facilities, and a seamless travel experience.
