Bharat Express Chairman Upendra Rai at Saharasri residence
‘Saharasri’ Subrata Roy died on 14 November and merged into Panchatattva on 16 November. His grandson lit the funeral pyre. On Friday i.e. today, tributes are being paid to Subrata Roy at his residence in Sahara City, Lucknow. Former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav also participated in the tribute meeting along with Bharat Express Chairman Upendra Rai.
During this time, a peace lesson was organized at the residence of Subrata Roy. The fame of Subrata Roy, the owner of Sahara India family, spread across the country and abroad. Roy’s empire spread across finance, real estate, media hospitality and other sectors. Even after reaching the pinnacle of success, ‘Saharashri’ never forgot the old times.
From leader to actor… Subrata Roy had the best friendship. Bharat Express Chairman Upendrra Rai was very close to Saharashri. Upendrra Rai’s eyes became moist remembering the contribution of Saharashri during Shanti Path. Let us tell you that Subrata Roy was born in Araria district of Bihar. His school education was completed in Kolkata. After that he came to Gorakhpur, from where he completed his studies in mechanical engineering from Government Technical Institute. After completing his engineering studies, he started trying his luck in business. He started his career from job. Then in the year 1978, the foundation of Sahara Group was laid. After achieving success in this, he started Sahara Finance. He played a major role in becoming Saharasri in Sahara Finance. After this, Saharasri kept setting new records every day.
