Bharat Express Chairman Upendra Rai flags off the runners in the Bombay Sappers Soldierathon.
The Bombay Sapper War Memorial in Pune is celebrating its centenary on 14 January 2024. Under which Fitistan-Ek Bharat Ek Marathon ‘Bombay Sappers Soldierathon’ was organised. Upendrra Rai, Chairman, MD, and Editor in Chief of Bharat Express News Network participated in the ‘Bombay Sappers Soldierathon’.
The event saw the enthusiastic participation of youth, families of soldiers, and ex-servicemen, all coming together to celebrate the historic occasion. Upendrra Rai, during the ‘Bombay Sappers Soldierathon,’ took the opportunity to meet and interact with disabled soldiers who had sacrificed their limbs and body parts during war times.
The marathon, organized at BEG Center Dighi Hills, Pune, witnessed a vibrant display of patriotism as runners, including soldiers, filled the air with enthusiasm. Before the race commenced, the soldiers motivated the participants, and the national anthem echoed through the venue, instilling a sense of unity.
