Bengaluru Murder Case: Accused Found Deceased, Left Behind Confession Note

A gruesome murder case in Bengaluru has taken a dramatic turn with the discovery of a confession note allegedly written by the accused, Mukthirajan Roy. The note, found in Roy’s diary, confessed to the murder of 26-year-old Mahalaxmi, a colleague of Roy’s.

According to police sources, the note stated that Roy committed the crime on September 3, citing being “fed up” with Mahalaxmi’s conduct. The note also described how Roy dismembered Mahalaxmi’s body into 59 pieces and stored them in a fridge.

Roy’s body was found hanging from a tree in a village in Odisha’s Bhadrak district on Wednesday. Police had been searching for him since the murder came to light last Saturday.

Mahalaxmi’s body was discovered by her relatives, who noticed a foul smell emanating from her house. Investigation revealed that she was murdered between September 2-3, and her body was cut into pieces using a sharp-edged weapon.

The Karnataka Police had launched a massive manhunt for Roy, sending four teams to Odisha. Roy was a team head at the mall where Mahalaxmi worked.

The police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the murder and Roy’s subsequent death.
