As the last day of Chaitra Navratri and the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami approach, Ayodhya is abuzz with preparations for the grand celebrations at the Ram Janambhoomi Temple. The temple is adorned with festive decorations, and 56 types of Bhog Prasad are being readied to be offered to Ram Lala.
Speaking to ANI, the chief priest of the Ram Janmabhoomi temple, Acharya Satyendra Das, expressed excitement about the upcoming festivities. He informed that all arrangements for the festival are being meticulously managed by the trust, ensuring that Ram Navami is celebrated with great enthusiasm.
Acharya Satyendra Das highlighted the significance of these celebrations, especially as they mark the first Ram Navami after the ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony. This adds an extra layer of sanctity and importance to the event.
During the festivities, a Surya Abhishek (sun worship) of Lord Ram will be conducted for five minutes at 12:16 pm. Ram Mandir Nirman Samiti chairman Nripendra Mishra emphasized the technical preparations underway to ensure this moment is celebrated with grandeur.
Ramnavami will see various offerings made to Lord Ram Lala, including the presentation of 56 types of Bhog Prasad. Devotees have contributed these offerings, which will be ceremoniously presented to the Lord at noon on Wednesday.
Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra, the trust overseeing the management of the temple, has made special arrangements for devotees. Queue arrangements will be in place from 3:30 am during Brahma Muhurta, ensuring smooth darshan for all visitors.
In a gesture of accommodation, the trust has extended the duration of darshan to 19 hours, starting from Mangala Aarti and continuing until 11:00 pm. The curtain will only be closed for five minutes during the four Bhog offerings.
The celebration will be broadcast on approximately a hundred large LED screens throughout Ayodhya. Additionally, live broadcasts will be available on the Trust’s social media accounts, ensuring that devotees near and far can partake in the festivities.
As Ayodhya braces for this momentous occasion, the air is filled with anticipation and devotion, marking yet another chapter in the rich tapestry of the city’s spiritual heritage.
