Asian Games 2026: Amit Shah Congratulates Esha Singh On 25m Pistol Silver

Union Home Minister Amit Shah congratulated Indian shooter Esha Singh on winning the silver medal in the women’s 25m pistol individual event at the Asian Games 2026.

In a post on the social media platform, Shah praised Singh’s determination and ability to perform under intense pressure.

“Kudos to Esha Singh on winning the Silver Medal🥈 in the Women’s 25m Pistol Individual event at the #AsianGames2026. Your steely resolve to perform under gruelling pressure makes this victory special for everyone back home. Keep surging ahead with more victories,” the Minister posted.

Singh secured the silver after a closely contested final in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan. She finished the regular competition level on 38 points with China’s Xiao Jiaruixian, forcing a shoot-off to decide the gold medal.

Xiao eventually claimed gold, while Singh took silver. North Korea’s Kim Hyon Suk won the bronze medal with 34 points.

Singh remained in contention through a tense series of rounds and shoot-offs, maintaining her composure in the precision event, which tests accuracy and consistency.

The silver added another medal to India’s campaign at the continental sporting event and marked a significant result for the country’s shooting contingent.

Singh’s performance highlighted her ability to handle pressure during a closely fought final and secure a podium finish for India at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games.
