For the first time, India’s Army Day Parade will take place outside army zones and in front of the general public. Scheduled for January 15, 2026, in Jaipur, Rajasthan, the parade will showcase the valour, courage, and sacrifice of the Indian Army.
The Indian Army held the parade in Bangalore in 2023, Lucknow in 2024, and Pune in 2025. This edition will mark a historic milestone by bringing the event directly to the people.
On August 12, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma reviewed parade preparations and instructed officials to organise Rajasthan’s first grand Army Day Parade.
The Jaipur parade will not only demonstrate India’s military capabilities but also highlight Rajasthan’s rich cultural heritage. The event aims to inspire patriotism among youth. It also seeks to present the emerging face of a modern, dynamic India to the world.
On Army Day, spectators will witness the precise marching of foot soldiers. They will also see the power of advanced tanks and artillery. The striking capability of missiles will be on display. Performances by army bands will add to the spectacle. Thrilling motorcycle stunts will complete the show.
Various military tableaux and evening cultural performances will combine war skills with Rajasthan’s vibrant traditions, offering a unique spectacle of bravery and culture.
The parade will actively involve school and college students, tourists, and local residents. Organizers will ensure proper arrangements for parking, traffic, and audience capacity.
Activities like the ‘Know Your Army’ program, Honor Run, Cycling Rally, and Blood Donation Camp will provide civilians the opportunity to engage closely with the army.
The Jaipur Army Day Parade will give citizens a firsthand experience of India’s military strength. It will also enhance Rajasthan’s prestige at both national and international levels.
This historic event is expected to leave a lasting impression on the public and showcase the state as a center of valor, tradition, and pride.
