Amit Shah’s Two-Day Gujarat Visit: What’s On The Agenda

On Saturday, Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah will begin a two-day visit to Gujarat, during which he will likely attend official programmes in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.

The Minister will likely review ongoing development works, interact with newly elected representatives of the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and inaugurate a new milk processing facility in Gandhinagar district.

During his visit to Ahmedabad, Amit Shah will meet newly elected AMC corporators and hold discussions with senior civic officials regarding infrastructure and public development projects in Ahmedabad and Gandhinagar.

A high-level review meeting has been planned at the AMC South West Zone office on Saturday. The discussions will likely focus on projects linked to the Gandhinagar Lok Sabha constituency, including civic and infrastructure works worth several crores of rupees.

Officials are likely to brief the Union Minister on urban infrastructure expansion, pond interlinking projects and preparations for the proposed ‘Mission 5 Million Trees’ campaign ahead of the monsoon season. Senior administrative officials, including the Municipal Commissioner, are likely to attend the meeting.

Authorities said the visit is important for monitoring the progress of development activities and speeding up the implementation of public welfare and environmental initiatives in the region.

On Sunday, Amit Shah will travel to the Gandhinagar district to inaugurate a new milk processing plant developed by Madhur Dairy near Dashela village close to Chiloda.

The inauguration ceremony is likely to begin at 1 PM. The Union Minister will inspect the facility before addressing a public gathering.

Officials said the new dairy plant will likely improve milk processing capacity in the area and support local dairy farmers connected to the cooperative network.
