Amit Shah To Visit Bengal On March 28; BJP To Release Chargesheet Against TMC

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is preparing to visit West Bengal on March 28 in a key effort to reinforce the Bharatiya Janata Party’s political footing in the state. The visit forms part of a wider campaign push ahead of forthcoming elections.

As part of his schedule, HM Shah will address an important press conference and officially introduce a chargesheet against the Trinamool Congress administration.

The document will outline the BJP’s accusations, focusing on alleged corruption, governance deficiencies, and law-and-order concerns.

According to party insiders, the chargesheet will detail matters such as purported irregularities in recruitment processes, financial discrepancies, and broader administrative shortcomings over recent years.

Alongside the chargesheet, the BJP plans to publish a detailed White Paper examining what it characterises as 15 years of ineffective governance under TMC rule.

The report is likely to present data-driven insights, case analyses, and sector-specific reviews to substantiate these claims.

The party is also expected to intensify its criticism regarding what it describes as ‘mafia rule’ in the state.

BJP leaders have pledged decisive action to curb illegal activities linked to natural resource extraction, including coal, sand, and stone, while promoting transparency in administration.

At the same time, work on the BJP’s election manifesto is progressing.

The party is likely to release the document in early April, with April 5 tentatively identified for its launch. It will outline priorities such as development, infrastructure expansion, job creation, improved law and order, and welfare schemes.

HM Amit Shah’s upcoming visit underlines the BJP’s renewed efforts to strengthen its presence in West Bengal, signalling a more intense political contest in the lead-up to elections.
