Amit Shah To Chair 26th Central Zonal Council Meeting In Bastar

Union Home Minister Amit Shah will chair the 26th Central Zonal Council meeting in Bastar, Chhattisgarh, on Tuesday, marking an important step towards strengthening regional governance and inter-state cooperation in central India.

The meeting will bring together the Chief Ministers of Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Chhattisgarh to discuss development, administrative coordination and Centre-state cooperation.

Holding the event in Bastar also highlights the improving peace and stability in the region, which was once affected by unrest.

Ahead of the meeting, Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai reviewed preparations with senior officials, who presented key proposals for the council discussions.

Reviewing the arrangements, Chief Minister Sai assigned responsibilities to senior officers and directed them to ensure smooth coordination and flawless execution of the event.

Earlier, CM Sai highlighted the importance of the Central Zonal Council in achieving the vision of a developed India. He said the member states of the council continue to set an example of cooperation and coordination without disputes.

According to the Chief Minister, zonal councils have emerged as effective platforms for dialogue, helping states and the Centre address shared challenges through mutual understanding and collaboration. He also described hosting the national-level meeting in Bastar as a proud moment for Chhattisgarh.

CM Sai stated that organising such a major event in the region reflects the successful restoration of peace under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

The meeting is expected to further strengthen regional cooperation and support development initiatives across central India.
