Amit Shah, Leaders Pay Tribute To Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj On Death Anniversary

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Friday honoured Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj on his death anniversary, calling him an ‘immortal symbol of Indian pride and protector of national honour’.

Posting on social media platform X, he wrote, “I pay homage at the feet of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the guardian of Indian pride and national honour, as I remember him.”

Amit Shah recalled how Shivaji Maharaj established Hindavi Swaraj by uniting the people to protect religion, culture, and native traditions. He highlighted the ruler’s strategic foresight in building a formidable navy to safeguard coastal regions, trade routes, and the seas, demonstrating unparalleled planning and leadership.

The Home Minister further noted that Shivaji Maharaj’s dedication to public welfare, cultural preservation, and governance continues to inspire citizens to serve the motherland with unwavering commitment.

Union Minister Nitin Gadkari also paid tribute on X, while Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lauded Shivaji Maharaj’s bravery, administration, and efforts to revive Sanatan culture.

CM Yogi described him as a ‘symbol of indomitable courage, unparalleled bravery, and excellent governance’, emphasising how his life exemplified defending the nation while promoting cultural pride and unity.

Celebrated as the founder of Hindavi Swaraj, Shivaji Maharaj remains a timeless figure in Indian history. His strategic vision, administrative acumen, and steadfast dedication to India’s heritage continue to inspire generations.
