He took this opportunity to attack Rahul Gandhi and his sister Priyanka over their comments that nothing has been done by this government and that the nation has gone back instead. The Home Minister said that since this brother – sister duo has Italian roots they couldn’t see the developmental works which Prime Minister Modi and his team is doing tirelessly.
“Rahul and Priyanka’s mother Sonia was an Italian till the other day. Sonia only took Indian citizenship after marrying the former Prime Minister Late Rajiv Gandhi,” said Shah. The Home Minister has also asserted that this grand old Congress party showed no interest and was against the construction of Ram Mandir at Ayodhya whereas after the people of Madhya Pradesh voted overwhelmingly in favour of BJP and the Supreme Court has given the historic verdict in favour of the construction of Ram Mandir, Prime Minister Modi went silently to Ayodhya and laid the foundation stone.
