Amit Shah Accuses Rahul Gandhi Of Insulting PM Modi And Chhathi Maiya; Says Bihar Will Deliver A Befitting Reply

Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday, accusing him of insulting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the revered deity Chhathi Maiya. Addressing a massive rally in Lakhisarai, Shah asserted that the people of Bihar would deliver a ‘befitting reply’ to the Congress and the Grand Alliance in the upcoming Assembly elections.

Speaking in support of BJP candidate and Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, Shah said, “Rahul Gandhi, your workers insulted Prime Minister Modi’s mother, you used abusive language against him, and now you have insulted Chhathi Maiya. This is Bihar, the people here will give you and the Grand Alliance a fitting response on November 6 and 11. When the ballots are opened on November 14, the alliance will be wiped out.”

Shah’s comments came after Gandhi criticised PM Modi’s symbolic Yamuna bath during Chhath Puja, calling it a staged act. Gandhi alleged that organisers brought clean water through pipes for Modi ji’s photo-op, while ordinary Indians bathe in polluted water.

Sharp Attack on RJD and Congress

Targeting the Opposition, Shah accused RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav and the Congress of plunging Bihar into ‘jungle raj’ before 2005. “All industries, businesses, and trading had shut down; only kidnapping and ransom thrived. Heinous crimes and murders were rampant under Lalu and Rabri’s rule,” he said.

Praising Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Shah said that Nitish Kumar ended the era of jungle raj and launched a new era of development after taking charge. He asserted that the NDA government would further strengthen the foundation laid by Modi and Nitish.

The Home Minister contrasted the alleged corruption of the Opposition with the NDA’s record. “Lalu and Rabri committed scams in Bihar. The Congress looted Rs 12 lakh crore in ten years. But neither Modi nor Nitish has been accused of a single rupee’s corruption,” he declared.

Highlighting PM Modi’s ‘Operation Sindoor’, launched after the Pahalgam attacks, Shah said it symbolised respect for women. “The vermilion of Lakhisarai represents the fortune of our mothers and sisters. PM Modi has enhanced women’s dignity globally,” he remarked.

Urging voters to back the NDA, Shah concluded, “Every vote for the lotus and arrow is a vote for Bihar’s progress under Modi and Nitish, and a vote to end lawlessness once and for all.”
