Allahabad High Court To Hear Krishna Janmabhoomi And Shahi Idgah Mosque Dispute Today

The hearing on the Krishna Janmabhoomi and Shahi Idgah Mosque dispute of Mathura will be held today from 2 pm. The single bench of Justice Mayank Kumar Jain of Allahabad High Court is continuously hearing the petitions regarding the maintainability of 18 civil suits filed by the Hindu side.

The temple side, during the hearing on May 16, had said in the High Court that the Sunni Central Board or the Idgah Arrangement Committee has not yet provided any document regarding the ownership of the property of the disputed structure on the land registered in the name of Katra Keshav Dev. There is no electricity connection in the name of the opposition. It was said that they were using electricity illegally. The electricity department has also lodged an FIR for illegal use of electricity. Justice Mayank Kumar Jain is hearing all the civil cases including Bhagvan Krishna Virajman Katra Keshav Dev.

During the last hearing, the temple side had stated that the deity was not a party to the alleged agreement. The puja committee agreed. It does not bind the plaintiff as a result. A lawsuit has been filed seeking the restoration of Shahi Idgah, along with possession and a permanent injunction, following the dismantling of the illegal building. The prayer in the lawsuit demonstrates that the Idgah Mosque’s structure is there and that the Masjid Managing Committee is the owner of it. Ashutosh Pandey of Shakumbhari Peethadhishwar voiced a few concerns about the mosque side’s lawyers’ jurisdiction and referenced the objections that were filed. He had stated that the civil lawsuit needed to be heard and that the mosque side’s objection to Order 7 Rule 11 regarding the suit’s maintainability ought to be dismissed.

The Allahabad High Court is now scheduled to have a hearing on suits numbers 5 and 15 today. It is anticipated that soon after the hearing on all suits is completed, Allahabad High court will reserve its decision.
