Allahabad High Court To Hear ASI Survey Plea of Gyanvapi’s Sealed Wazukhana Today

The Allahabad High Court will hear a plea today on the ASI survey of the sealed Wazukhana in the Gyanvapi premises, Varanasi. The hearing starts at 2 pm. The Hindu side will submit its reply.

On August 22, the court gave the petitioner time to respond to the Muslim side’s affidavit filed by the Anjuman Intezamia Masjid Committee.

Petition Demands ASI Survey

Rakhi Singh, the main petitioner in the Shringar Gauri case, has filed a civil revision petition. She demands an ASI survey of the Wazukhana, similar to the survey of the entire Gyanvapi complex. The Wazukhana was sealed two years ago after the alleged discovery of a Shivling, which the Muslim side claims is a fountain.

Justice Agarwal to Hear Case

Justice Rohit Ranjan Agarwal will hear the case. The petition challenges the Varanasi District Judge’s decision. The court will decide if the ASI survey will proceed.
