More than 370 student participants from over 80 schools across 10+ states competed, while over 650 attendees, including parents, coaches, and supporters, filled the campus with energy and excitement.
The competition featured four categories—Under 11, Under 14, Under 17, and Under 19—offering opportunities for players at every stage.
Namrata Adani, Promoter of Adani International School, inaugurated the event with a motivating address to the young players.
Bhavesh Patel, former Secretary of the Gujarat State Chess Association and Vice-President of the All India Chess Federation, along with Grandmaster Ankit Rajpara, inspired students with valuable insights from their own journeys in chess.
Indian chess is experiencing a renaissance, led by young stars like R Praggnanandhaa and D Gukesh. School-level tournaments such as the ISSO National Games Chess Competition provide a platform for early exposure to high-level contests.
These events nurture talent, strengthen India’s position in the global chess arena, and prepare the next generation of champions.
The competition reaffirmed Adani International School’s commitment to holistic education, where sports complement academics. The school promotes resilience, critical thinking, and ethical conduct through its robust sports culture.
At the Closing Ceremony, winners across all four categories received medals.
Chatrabhuj Narsee School, Mumbai, was crowned Overall Champion, while Indus International School, Hyderabad, secured the Runners-Up position. Both schools impressed with consistency, focus, and exceptional sportsmanship.
