In a significant gesture of devotion and social service, Gautam Adani, Chairman of the Adani Group, met Guru Prasad Swami Maharaj, Chairman of the Governing Body Commission of ISKCON, on January 9. During their meeting, Adani spoke humbly about his journey, attributing his success to divine grace rather than personal merit.
“I come from a humble family background…” Adani shared. He further emphasized the importance of collaboration with organizations like ISKCON to serve society. “We will continue to lean on you to help society. You have a wonderful organization and delivery system that ultimately reaches millions of people,” he added.
This meeting began a collaboration between the Adani Group and ISKCON for the upcoming Maha Kumbh Mela in Prayagraj. From January 13 to February 26, the two organizations will join forces to provide Mahaprasad (holy food) to the millions of devotees attending the event. The initiative aims to offer nourishment and spiritual comfort to the vast crowds expected at one of the world’s largest religious gatherings.
In addition to the food service, the Adani Group has also announced a unique distribution effort. In collaboration with Geeta Press, they will distribute 1 crore copies of the Aarti Sangrah (a collection of devotional hymns) among the devotees during the Maha Kumbh Mela. This move aims to enrich further the spiritual experience for those participating in the festival.
This collaboration between the Adani Group and ISKCON highlights their commitment to serving the public and fostering spiritual growth, marking a significant contribution to this year’s Maha Kumbh Mela.
