Acharya Pramod Krishnam Receives Alleged Death Threat Through US Number

Kalki Dham Peethadheeshwar Acharya Pramod Krishnam has reportedly received a death threat through an audio message sent from a US mobile number, prompting security agencies to take note of the incident.

According to a letter sent to the Superintendent of Police by Uma Raman Tripathi, president of the Shri Kalki Dham Trust, the person behind the alleged threat identified himself as Kulveer Singh Sidhu.

The letter claimed that the individual had links with the Babbar Khalsa organisation. These allegations have not been independently established.

Speaking to the media on Saturday, Krishnam said he received the audio message on his personal mobile number on the night of September 24.

The message reportedly came from a US number and contained a threat to kill him.

The trust, HOWEVER, claimed that the audio message warned of a possible bomb attack. It has urged the police to investigate the mobile number, register an FIR against the person responsible and conduct a detailed probe into the incident.

The alleged threat has raised concerns over the security of Krishnam and the Shri Kalki Dham premises.

The trust has requested the police administration to strengthen security arrangements following the incident.

The trust sent copies of its letter to the Director General of Police, Additional Director General of Police (Security) and Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order), seeking appropriate action.

Police will verify the audio message and the sender’s identity.

Krishnam had reported a death threat in 2020, following which police registered a case.
