Acharya Pramod Krishnam Raises Concerns Over Tata Group’s ₹3,000 Crore Loss; Calls For High-Level Probe

Acharya Pramod Krishnam, the religious head of Kalkidham, has raised an alarm over reports of alleged corruption within the Tata Group.

Referring to the ₹3,000 crore loss recently reported under the pretext of selling everyday goods like shoes, bicycles, and umbrellas, the spiritual leader urged authorities to treat this matter as a case for high-level investigation.

Speaking on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Acharya Krishnam wrote, “The “soul” of the industrial world is Tata, but the kind of corruption allegations that are emerging are not only extremely unfortunate but also a matter of concern for the country.”

He criticised the post-Ratan Tata leadership, particularly under Noel Tata, questioning whether the losses were due to administrative failure or part of a larger scam.

“After Ratan Tata’s departure, showing a “loss” of 3,000 crore rupees in the name of selling shoes, bicycles, and umbrellas is a form of fraud that demands a high-level investigation. Is this an administrative failure of “Noel” Tata or part of a larger “scam”? It is the responsibility of India’s investigative agencies to uncover the truth, because no one in the country would want to see the “Tata Group” being “ruined” in this manner,” he added.

Acharya Krishnam warned that the Indian public holds Tata in high regard and would not want to see such a respected industrial group in decline. He underlined the importance of maintaining transparency and trust in India’s corporate sector, especially in companies as historically significant as Tata.

Political Commentary: Congress-RJD Alliance Has Collapsed

In a separate political statement, Acharya Krishnam also weighed in on the ongoing rift within Bihar’s Mahagathbandhan (Grand Alliance).

Taking a jibe at Leader of the Opposition Tejashwi Yadav’s remarks on a ‘friendly fight’ between Congress and RJD, he stated that no political battle is ever truly friendly.

“There’s no such thing as a friendly fight. Where there is friendliness, there’s no fight. Rahul Gandhi’s ‘friendly fight’ formula has failed completely,” he commented.

According to Acharya Krishnam, the alliance between the Congress and the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) has effectively collapsed, marking a significant setback for the opposition ahead of upcoming elections.

He suggested that the internal discord is beyond repair and is damaging the credibility of the parties involved.

Acharya Krishnam’s dual remarks—on both the Tata Group’s financial transparency and the political instability in Bihar—reflect broader concerns about institutional integrity in both the corporate and political spheres.

His call for accountability, especially in matters of public trust and national significance, is a reminder of the high standards India expects from its leaders and institutions.
