A New Dawn Of Happiness: PM Modi Shares Navratri Message With Devotional Track

On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended wishes to the nation on the seventh day of Chaitra Navratri, invoking blessings from the Mother Goddess for the well-being of devotees.

Taking to X, PM Modi wrote, “The grace of Maa Jagdamba brings a new dawn of happiness in the lives of her devotees.”

The Prime Minister also posted a devotional song sung by the late Lata Mangeshkar, describing it as a powerful source of energy during Navratri.

The song is from her classic music video ‘Aaj Tera Jagraata’.

Devotees, however, dedicate the seventh day of Navratri to the fierce form of Goddess Durga, Maa Kaalratri.

Worshipped as Adishakti, she symbolizes the destruction of evil and the bestowal of divine blessings.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also extended his Navratri greetings, expressing hope for global harmony.

Taking to X, UP CM posted, “With the blessings of Maa Bhagwati, may the whole world be filled with happiness, peace, prosperity and positivity. This is my prayer. Jai Maa Kalratri!”

He also posted an image of the goddess along with a Sanskrit shloka.

The name ‘Kaalratri’ combines ‘kaal’ (time or death) and ‘ratri’ (night or darkness), representing the divine force that dispels ignorance and ushers in enlightenment.

Devotees, however, revere Maa Kaalratri as one of the most formidable forms of the goddess.

Her dark appearance signifies power and intensity.

Devotees typically depict Maa Kaalratri with four arms:

  • Two holding a sword and an iron club, and
  • Two offering blessings and protection

Navratri celebrations continue across the country with deep devotion, as thousands of devotees visit temples to offer prayers and seek the blessings of the goddess.
