A Landmark Step Towards Industrial Growth: PM Modi On BHAVYA Approval

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the Union Cabinet’s approval of the Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna (BHAVYA) marks a significant move to advance India’s manufacturing sector. The programme will facilitate the creation of 100 plug-and-play industrial parks across the country.

Taking to X, he posted, “A landmark step towards accelerating India’s industrial growth!”

“The Union Cabinet has approved Bharat Audyogik Vikas Yojna (BHAVYA). This will enable the development of 100 plug-and-play industrial parks, boosting manufacturing, investment and jobs across the nation. The scheme will significantly enhance Ease of Doing Business through streamlined approvals and single-window systems. It will boost logistics and services sectors too,” the post further read.

What the Scheme Offers

The scheme introduces a plug-and-play framework that enables industries to begin operations without delays.

Pre-cleared land, ready-to-use infrastructure and integrated services will help investors establish units quickly. This system aims to lower entry barriers and improve overall operational efficiency.

Under the initiative, industrial parks covering 100 to 1,000 acres will be developed with government support.

Financial assistance of up to ₹1 crore per acre will be provided for essential infrastructure such as roads, utilities, drainage systems and shared facilities.

Additional infrastructure, including factory units, testing centres and warehousing, will also be developed to support industrial activities.

The scheme also provides for social infrastructure such as housing for workers and basic amenities to support the workforce.

The government will further extend assistance of up to 25 per cent of project costs for external infrastructure to strengthen connectivity. These efforts are designed to create integrated and well-connected industrial ecosystems.

Projects under BHAVYA will be chosen through a competitive selection process to ensure quality and readiness.

The industrial parks will be planned in line with PM GatiShakti principles, focusing on seamless multimodal connectivity and efficient logistics systems. The initiative is expected to contribute significantly to strengthening India’s industrial base and sustaining long-term economic development.
