8th Pay Commission Schedules Fresh Employee Consultations In Delhi On August 7, 10

The 8th Central Pay Commission has scheduled two more rounds of stakeholder consultations in New Delhi on August 7 and 10 as it continues discussions on salary revisions and other service-related benefits for Central government employees.

According to a notice issued by the Commission, it will interact with associations, federations and unions of Central Government and Union Territory (UT) employees that are located or registered in Delhi.

Key Highlights

Eligible organisations can apply for an appointment until July 31.

The Commission said only organisations that have already submitted their memorandum and have not yet interacted with it in New Delhi or any State or UT are eligible to seek a meeting.

Applicants must submit their request along with their unique Memo ID by July 31, while the venue and meeting timings will be communicated separately.

During the consultations, employee bodies will likely raise issues related to salary revision, pensions, allowances, fitment factor, promotions, career progression and service conditions.

The Commission said the August meetings are part of its ongoing consultation process, with more interactions planned in Delhi as well as other States and Union Territories in the coming months.

Organisations outside the Delhi-NCR region can also seek appointments in their respective State, Union Territory or a nearby location.

The Commission has also extended the deadline for Ministries, departments and Union Territories to upload employee data through its online portal until July 31.

The Commission clarified that it will accept only data submitted through the official portal and will not consider information sent via email or hard copies.

After holding consultations in Kolkata on July 9 and 10, the Commission will next meet stakeholders in Chennai on September 7 and 8 and Puducherry on September 9.

Organisations wishing to participate can apply by August 18 using the online application form and their unique Memo ID.
