80th Independence Day: ‘Big Dreams Expand Our Horizons’, Says PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings to the nation on Saturday as India celebrated its 80th Independence Day, urging citizens to move beyond small ambitions and pursue bigger dreams for the country’s future.

Addressing the nation from the historic Red Fort, PM Modi said the spirit of ‘Vande Mataram’ was resonating across the country, with the Tricolour present in homes and in the hearts of citizens. He said India was moving forward with renewed enthusiasm, determination and new resolutions.

The Prime Minister paid tribute to the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country’s Independence. He respectfully remembered Mahatma Gandhi and the revolutionaries whose courage and sacrifice shaped India’s freedom struggle.

PM Modi said a nation becomes great when it progresses through the strength of its dreams, resolve and capabilities. He stressed that India could no longer afford to pursue limited ambitions and needed to set bigger goals.

According to the Prime Minister, big dreams broaden thinking and expand the nation’s horizons. He emphasised the importance of firm resolve, saying strong determination helps people overcome difficulties and find a way forward even during challenging circumstances.

PM Modi said that lofty dreams and strong resolutions raise the level of a nation’s capabilities and efforts. He further stressed that India could turn its aspirations into reality only by matching its ambitions with determination and sustained efforts.

His Independence Day address focused on the need for confidence, collective resolve and ambitious goals as India works towards its long-term development vision.

The Prime Minister’s message called on citizens to believe in the country’s capabilities and contribute towards building a stronger and more developed India.
