A 30-year-old woman was allegedly beaten, stripped, and paraded by four women during a fight in a village in the Indore district of Madhya Pradesh, according to police on Wednesday.
On social media, a video of the alleged incident that happened during the Holi celebrations also surfaced.
Sunil Mehta, Superintendent of Police said, “On Monday, four women forcibly pulled the victim out of her house, beat her up and humiliated her by stripping her naked in public at Bachhora village of Gautampura police station area.”
The four women accused of the assault were later apprehended.
Mehta reported that there is now peace in the village after he visited the village on Wednesday.
However, he added that the girl had gone to her parent’s house since she was mortified due to her humiliation.

One of the accused believed the victim was stirring up her mother-in-law’s animosity towards her.
According to the police officer, the accused also suspected that the victim had taken her mother-in-law to Mandsaur without telling her.
He noted that both the accused woman and the victim are members of the Scheduled Caste (SC) group.
He claims that other villagers who were bystanders captured the embarrassing incident on camera and shared it.
According to him, these individuals are being identified, and proper legal action will be taken against them.
According to eyewitnesses, the accused woman stripped and pulled the woman from her home.
According to the allegations, the accused did not back down despite the victim woman’s repeated pleas for mercy, and they even tore her clothes off in public. They also took her to some distance on the common road of the village in the same condition.
Under Indian Penal Code (IPC) sections 323 (voluntarily causing hurt), 354-A (sexual harassment), and 452 (wrongfully restraining and assaulting) a case has been registered against the accused women, a police officer informed.
