The Air India group on Monday announced it will operate a total of 30 scheduled and non-scheduled flights to and from the West Asia region, even as services on several routes remain limited.
The update was shared via social media platform X, outlining operational plans for March 23.
Both Air India and Air India Express will continue regular services to Jeddah, with a total of 10 flights connecting India and the Saudi Arabian city.
Air India will run return services from Delhi and Mumbai, while Air India Express will operate flights from Bengaluru, Kozhikode, and Mangaluru.
In addition, Air India Express will operate four scheduled flights to Muscat from Delhi and Mumbai, and four flights to Riyadh from Bengaluru and Kozhikode.
The airline group will also operate 12 non-scheduled flights to destinations in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, subject to approvals and operational conditions.
These include services to Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Sharjah. Air India will connect Delhi with Dubai, while Air India Express will operate routes between Delhi and Mumbai to Abu Dhabi, and Mangaluru to Sharjah.
However, the airline will not operate any scheduled or ad hoc services to certain destinations, including Ras Al Khaimah and Al Ain in the UAE, Salalah in Oman, Dammam in Saudi Arabia, as well as Bahrain, Doha, Kuwait, and Tel Aviv.
It will continue to operate flights to North America, Europe, Australia, and other international destinations as per schedule.
The airline has offered affected passengers free rebooking or full refunds and is providing additional support through customer care and digital platforms.
