Preparations Underway For Eco-Friendly Maha Kumbh-2025; Housing, Infrastructure For Over 40 Crore Devotees

In anticipation of the upcoming Maha Kumbh-2025, the Kumbh Mela Authority has initiated rigorous preparations aimed at ensuring an environmentally sustainable and hygienic event.

Recent developments indicate a focus on temporary infrastructure and housing solutions to accommodate the expected influx of over 40 crore devotees.

Tenders issued for various temporary structures, including the grand Ganga Pandal, Convention Centre, German Hangar-style Pandal, and Pagoda-style tents.

These initiatives aim to provide adequate facilities for the massive congregation expected during the spiritual event.

A significant highlight of the preparations is the introduction of temporary housing facilities on an unprecedented scale.

For the first time in the history of Maha Kumbh, plans are underway to construct temporary circuit houses and guest houses within the Mela area.

A temporary circuit house boasting 55 suites will cater to VIPs and state guests, resembling the prestigious Chandrashekhar Azad Circuit House in the city.

Additionally, 25 thousand bed guest houses sector-wise will be strategically build within the fair area, equipping them with special facilities including toilets.

The focus on eco-friendliness extends to the construction of Ganga pandals and convention halls, with plans in place to erect structures utilizing German hanger technology capable of accommodating more than 10 thousand devotees each.

Meanwhile, separate budgets allocated to ensure the successful execution of these endeavors.

Furthermore, measures are being taken to enhance the cleanliness and safety of the event premises.

Installation of barricading and nets along bathing ghats and main roads will manage crowd flow effectively.

With preparations in full swing, authorities are optimistic about hosting a Maha Kumbh that not only honors tradition but also prioritizes sustainability and comfort for all attendees.
