Shocking reports of 24 deaths including 12 children in the last 24 hours were received from Nanded Civil Hospital in Maharashtra. This raised concerns about the medical facility available in the state.

State medical education minister Hasan Mushrif confirmed the report. He said that out of 12 children 6 were admitted in the hospital for the last 2 days. Seven died out of 24 were critical patients. Two patients died due to snake biting and poisoning Mushrif added. He dismissed allegations that there was inadequate staff in the hospital. He even ordered a probe into this tragic incident.
it should be recalled that last month at Thane 18 people lost their lives in a single day at Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj hospital. A high level committee was formed to probe this matter the reports of which are still awaited.

Relatives of those dead alleged shortage of manpowers and lack of infrastructure in the hospital. They alleged that their kin were treated negligently in the hospital. They further added that when there was need to admit them into the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) they were been deprived from this opportunity.
Patients die in the different hospitals. Allegations and counter allegations take place as usual. But when this menace will stop is the multi million dollar question.
