Rajasthan Witnesses Swearing-In of 22 MLAs as Ministers, Including 12 Cabinet Members
The cabinet expansion in Rajasthan unfolded at the Raj Bhawan in Jaipur, where 22 MLAs, including Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and deputies Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa, took their oaths as ministers. This event occurred two weeks after the aforementioned leaders were sworn in.
Ahead of the state cabinet’s enlargement, the CM visited central leaders in Delhi for discussions on ministerial names and portfolios.

The list of new ministers includes Kirodi Lal Meena, Gajendra Singh Khinvsar, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Babulal Kharadi, Madan Dilawar, Jogaram Patel, Suresh Singh Rawat, Avinash Gehlot, Joraram Kumawat, Hemant Meena, Kanhaiya Lal Choudhary, and Sumit Godara. Among them, 12 were appointed as cabinet ministers, while five were given the status of ministers of state with independent charge, and five as ministers of state.
Opposition parties in Rajasthan have criticized the BJP-led government for the delay in forming the cabinet. Former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot expressed concern over the halted governance due to the delay.
