Ayush Ministry Joins Women’s Health Campaign From September 17

The Ministry of Ayush will take part in the ‘Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan’, a national campaign on women’s health, which begins on September 17.

The Health and Family Welfare Ministry will launch the initiative on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 75th birthday.

The Ministry of Ayush will take part in the ‘Swasth Nari Sashakt Parivar Abhiyaan’, a national campaign on women’s health, which begins on September 17.

Ayush officials said the ministry, with state bodies and research institutes, will host activities under the campaign. NGOs, cooperatives, and private partners will also join the effort.

Health Drive Targets Women’s Care

The focus will remain on women’s health promotion and screening for several diseases. As part of the drive, the public will receive nutrition kits and home remedy guides.

The ministry will present the positive impact of medicinal herbs and herbal teas on women’s vitality. Alongside, Ayurveda-guided methods and yoga workshops will aim to calm stress and alleviate professional exhaustion.

The 16-day campaign will include health camps for screening non-communicable diseases, anaemia, tuberculosis, sickle cell disease and different types of cancers.

Furthermore, it will also cover maternal, child health services, nutrition awareness, hygiene promotion and voluntary blood donation drives.

Special attention will go to Ayush treatment options for conditions like anaemia, NCDs and Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD).

Dedicated kiosks will provide lifestyle counselling, yoga, and ‘Prakriti Pareekshan’ to guide women on preventive care.

States and Union Territories will spread the message through awareness camps in schools, radio and television programmes and social media outreach.

At the grassroots, Self-Help Groups at the Panchayat level will lead rallies and pledge-taking events to mobilise communities.

The ministry said the campaign will deliver complete healthcare support for women, from pregnancy to palliative care.

Every day, online health tips on topics such as anaemia-free women, fitness for mothers, stress relief, herbal nutrition and bone health will be shared. This will help women manage their health better.
