PIB Fact Check Flags Fake AI Video Of Rajnath Singh Promoting Investment Scheme

Authorities have identified a widely circulated video as fabricated, with PIB Fact Check confirming that the clip uses artificial intelligence to falsely depict Rajnath Singh endorsing an investment platform.

The misleading content claims that users can earn up to ₹15 lakh monthly by making a one-time deposit of ₹22,000.

Officials clarified that no such endorsement exists from the Government of India.

The video deliberately imitates official communication styles to appear credible and trustworthy.

Investigators noted that the manipulated footage employs urgency tactics, including claims of limited registration windows, to pressure viewers into quick decisions. It also displays fabricated graphics featuring logos of government institutions and banks to enhance authenticity.

Authorities emphasised that these elements are deceptive and designed to mislead unsuspecting individuals. They reiterated that no authorised scheme offers such exaggerated financial returns through official channels.

Experts urged citizens to exercise caution while engaging with online financial offers. They advised users to avoid clicking on suspicious links or sharing personal and financial details with unverified platforms.

Officials further recommended verifying all claims exclusively through trusted government sources.

Citizens can report misleading or fraudulent content directly to PIB Fact Check via WhatsApp or email for prompt verification and action.

The advisory underscores the growing threat of AI-driven misinformation and highlights the need for digital vigilance.

Authorities continue to monitor such activities closely to safeguard public trust and financial security.
