Sunny Deol gets emotional after remembering a border scene
As he described a deleted moment from his 1997 war epic Border, actor Sunny Deol started to cry. In a recent interview, Sunny stated that he has a soft spot in his heart for the armed forces and that he wasn’t aware of the influence Border had on the public until he began to hear tales of young guys enrolling after seeing the movie.
On Ranveer Allahbadia’s podcast, Sunny stated that he is now regarded as one of the military’s own and that he is really proud of Border. He also discussed the recent huge success of Gadar 2, which has rekindled interest in a film sequel to the original.
The actor said, “There was a sequence that didn’t make it to the final edit when asked whether he had a favorite moment from Border. It was a beautiful spectacle. It was written by the father of JP Dutta. I’m in the little temple at the very end of the movie. When I turned around, I could see that the bunker that had been demolished was still emitting firelight. All of my fallen warriors are gathered around the fire when I walk over and see them. I speak with them and tell them that I will take care of their families, repair their home’s leaky roof, and speak with their mothers. I feel as though they are there.
Several years ago, Border 2 was indeed in the works, according to Sunny, but it was shelved when his films started to struggle financially. “We wished we had done this sooner. I can recall 2015… But later, my flicks flopped. People were afraid to make it, so log ghabra ke nahi banana chah rahe was the result. Everyone wants to pull that off now! he exclaimed.

Sunny started crying once more as she thought of Gadar 2’s triumph, which is getting close to earning Rs 500 crore at the domestic box office. He expressed his gratitude to his supporters for the support they had given him. Anil Sharma, the director of the movie, recently admitted in an interview that he called Sunny on the day of the movie’s release and that they all sobbed together as they celebrated the achievement.
