Gadar 2
There is still about a week left for the release of “Gadar 2”, but fans are already showing tremendous excitement for the film. There is also a lot of buzz surrounding Manish Wadhwa, who plays the villain in the movie. In a recent interview, Manish shared his experience working on the film, compared to working with Amrish Puri, and discussed his film selection process and working with Sunny Deol.
Manish said, “In ‘Gadar’, Amrish Puri immortalized the character of the villain, Amar. I never wanted such comparisons, but it feels good that people are saying that. I knew that somewhere people would draw comparisons between us. However, truth be told, comparisons happen between equals, and neither my caliber nor my work can match up to his level. Comparing myself to him is far-fetched. He was an amazing artist, and my career has just begun.”
He further mentioned that it’s amusing that people are now calling the villains “Love You, Sir.” Not long ago, he was in Chandni Chowk, and three or four boys came up to him, wanting to take a picture with him. It turns out they had come all the way from Karachi. The whole atmosphere in the country right now is akin to that of ‘Gadar.’ You can see it for yourself; Seema Haider has also arrived here, and she seems inspired by our story. It seems like the entire universe is engrossed in promoting the film.”
