‘This Award Is As Much Yours As It Is Mine’: Ajith Kumar Expresses Gratitude After Padma Bhushan Announcement

Actor Ajith Kumar, recently conferred with the Padma Bhushan by the President of India, expressed his deep gratitude for the prestigious honor. In a statement released by his publicist, the actor shared his feelings of humility and recognition.

Ajith also acknowledged that the award was a testament to the collective support of many, emphasizing his gratitude to the film industry, his colleagues, and various sectors outside his acting career. “Your inspiration, collaboration, and support have been instrumental in my journey,” he wrote.

The actor thanked the motor racing and sports communities, expressing appreciation for their ongoing support. “I am also grateful for the kind support from the rifle and racing fraternity,” Ajith added.

Ajith’s message also included emotional thanks to his family. “To my family and friends: Your love and support have been both a refuge and source of strength. Thank you!” he said. He expressed his wish that his late father could have witnessed the honor, while celebrating his mother’s sacrifices.

The actor also lauded his wife Shalini, calling her his “cornerstone of success,” and praised his children, Anoushka and Aadvik, as his “pride and the light of my life.”

Concluding his message, Ajith turned to his fans and well-wishers: “This award is as much yours as it is mine. Thank you all for this incredible honour and for being part of this journey.”
