Taylor Swift and NFL star Travis Kelce officially announced their engagement after two years of dating. The couple made the announcement on Instagram on Tuesday, sharing a series of photos from the proposal.
The Instagram post featured a carousel of images capturing the moment Kelce got down on one knee in a rose garden.
One close-up image highlighted Swift’s elegant diamond ring in a gold bezel setting.
The ‘Blank Space’ singer looked visibly emotional and joyful as she hugged and kissed her new fiancé, with the couple posing for celebratory photos shortly after the proposal.
Sharing the milestone, Swift captioned the post, “Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married.”
Swift and Kelce’s relationship has captured public attention since they went public in October 2023, according to Variety.
The romance reportedly began when Kelce, a tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, attended Swift’s Eras Tour in July 2023 and made the first move.
Their high-profile pairing has since become a favourite among fans and media alike, often making headlines for their appearances together and mutual support in each other’s careers.
In a double celebration, Swift also unveiled her 12th studio album, The Life of a Showgirl, just hours after announcing the engagement. True to her style, she revealed the album title during an appearance on Kelce’s New Heights podcast, which he co-hosts with his brother, Jason Kelce.
Taylor Swift slated the album for release on 3 October 2025, following a mysterious countdown she posted on her website earlier in the day.
The engagement and upcoming album mark an exciting new chapter for Swift, blending personal milestones with professional triumphs. Fans across the world have flooded social media with congratulations for the couple, who now prepare for their next big step, marriage.
