Sundar Pichai, Ranbir Kapoor, Vikas Khanna Named In TIME 100 Most Influential People 2026

Sundar Pichai, Ranbir Kapoor, and Vikas Khanna have been named to TIME’s 100 Most Influential People of 2026, reflecting India’s expanding global footprint across technology, entertainment, and culture.

The annual list recognises individuals shaping international discourse through innovation, leadership, and societal impact.

Pichai featured in the ‘Titans’ category for steering Google’s rapid advancement in artificial intelligence.

Under his leadership, the company integrated AI capabilities across platforms such as Search, Android, and Chrome, while accelerating development through its Gemini ecosystem amid intensifying global competition.

AI expert Andrew Ng, who authored his profile, noted that Pichai’s influence stems from the widespread adoption of AI technologies.

Kapoor earned recognition in the ‘Artists’ category for his nuanced performances and distinctive cinematic approach. His work has redefined audience expectations and helped elevate Indian storytelling on the global stage.

Khanna, however, received acclaim for his culinary excellence and humanitarian contributions, using gastronomy as a medium to connect cultures and preserve heritage.

Chef Eric Ripert, who wrote Khanna’s profile, emphasised his ability to inspire and unite people, noting that his restaurant Bungalow reflects storytelling rooted in memory and tradition.

The list also features prominent global figures, including Neal Mohan, Zohran Mamdani, Pope Leo XIV, Reid Wiseman, Donald Trump, Marco Rubio, Mark Carney, Xi Jinping, and Benjamin Netanyahu. Asian representation includes Sanae Takaichi and Balendra Shah.

The TIME100 list continues to highlight transformative figures influencing global narratives across sectors.
