The comedy-drama Dunki is based on the ‘donkey flight’ method of illegal immigration. In addition to Shah Rukh and Taapsee, Vicky Kaushal, Boman Irani, Vikram Kochhar, and Anil Grover also feature in the movie. Dunki, which is a film about friendships, borders, and longing for one’s hometown and love, is helmed by Rajkumar, who also co-wrote the screenplay with Abhijaat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon. Shah Rukh stars in the movie, which is his final and third release of 2023 after two consecutive action-packed blockbusters, Jawan and Pathaan.
One day prior to Prabhas’s film Salaar, on December 21, Dunki, presented by JIO Studios, Red Chillies Entertainment, and Rajkumar Hirani Films, debuted on theaters. “So when I made Jawan, I thought I made a film for boys and girls but I didn’t make anything for myself, then I made Dunki,” the actor reportedly said, according to ANI, at one of the events in Dubai. Thus, this is my movie. I hold this movie in the highest regard.I want to close the year with a movie for me, but I started the year with Pathaan, which was always ladies first.
