Shahid Kapoor will appear in the Ali Abbas Zafar directed film Bloody Daddy later this week, namely on June 9. While the film’s trailer and teasers, which will have a direct-to-OTT release, have made quite an impression and even drawn in the crowds, we’ve heard that making the movie was rather expensive. In fact, if the rumours are accurate, Shahid Kapoor demanded a staggering Rs. 40 crore to appear in the movie.
A source connected to the project commented on the matter and said “Given the current uncertain scenario it was surprising to hear the amount quoted as Shahid’s fee. But yes he did charge between Rs. 36-40 cr. for Bloody Daddy. Interestingly, in a time when the industry has been going through a tough time, and most actors have been slashing their fees, Shahid’s brand value has remained steady.”

Surprisingly, despite investing a sizable quantity in the film’s production, Jio Cinema’s higher management appears to be very optimistic about the project, according to the source. They claimed “Bloody Daddy comes in a very rarely explored genre, especially in Hindi cinema. The look, and feel of the film, the action sequences, the visuals, and the story are rather novel when compared to conventional Hindi films. Given this and the fact that Shahid has done a brilliant job under Ali’s direction, have filled Jio Cinema with confidence.”
Jio Cinema remains confident in massive investment for ‘Bloody Daddy’ despite pending confirmation of Shahid Kapoor’s compensation. The highly anticipated film, co-written by Siddharth-Garima, Aditya Basu, and Ali Abbas Zafar, promises to deliver an adrenaline-pumping experience with its thrilling action sequences. While the official details of Kapoor’s payment for his role in the film are yet to be disclosed, Jio Cinema stands by its decision, expressing unwavering belief in the project’s potential. As fans eagerly await further updates, ‘Bloody Daddy’ continues to generate buzz as a potential blockbuster, showcasing Kapoor’s versatile talent in an intense and captivating narrative.
